Option

Description

Max

Displays the maximum response time for the portlets selected during the filtered time period.

Avg

Displays the average response time for the portlets selected during the filtered time period.

Min

Displays the minimum response time for the portlets selected during the filtered time period.

Note: If multiple options are selected in combination with Top Portlets or Bottom Portlets only the response time with highest priority will be listed. The priority order from highest to lowest is Avg - Max - Min.  That is, if Avg and Max are selected with Top Portlets, then the portlets with the top average response time will be displayed along with the maximum response times of each.

Filtering By

You can filter the report according to the following properties.

Filter Type

Description

Date Range

Allows you to filter data based on a range of dates.

If you select Specify Date Range, you can choose the start and end date.

Authentication Source

Allows you to filter data based on the authentication source.

User Property

Allows you to filter data based on the user properties defined in your portal. After selecting the desired property, select Contains or Does Not Contain and the property value by which you want to filter.

Grouping By

If multiple portlets are selected, the data is automatically grouped by portlet name. In addition, you can group reported data according to the following attributes.

Property

Description

Time Interval

This option groups the data by the selected time period. A line chart must have a time interval group by parameter selected.

User Property

This option groups the data by the selected user property. Users are grouped by the property value in their user profile.

Note: Line charts are two-dimensional and, therefore, can be grouped by two attributes. The bar and pie charts are one-dimensional and can be grouped by only one attribute. (When selecting to display Top or Bottom Portlets, no grouping options are available.) Attributes include portlet selection and grouping options. Thus, when one portlet and the line chart view are selected, two Grouping By options are allowed. When multiple portlets and the line chart are selected, only one Grouping By option is allowed. When multiple portlets and the bar or pie chart are selected, no Grouping By option is allowed. Tabular charts can include multiple metrics and multiple portlets but a maximum of one Grouping By option.

View Data

After you have configured properties for the Portlet Response Time report, click View Data to display the results.

Note: To enable readability, the graphic charts display a maximum of 25 data points, beginning with the first in time. For example, if you configure settings for a line chart report for a duration of 3 days and group by hour, your request is for 72 data points; only the first 25 hours are displayed in the line chart. To improve readability, labels do not always exist for all data points. In tabular reports, the report includes a maximum of 1000 data points. However, when you export the report, it includes all data points.

Export Report

To export the report, click Export Report and open or save the file.
